Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Pasta

My house is out in the country but, I think it’s pretty great that there are two pasta places in the town I work in.  One that I like the best, that also has the prettiest drive to the restaurant (you get to see part of Grand Lake and the Pensacola Damn in Oklahoma) is Pensacola Pizza & Pasta.

My favorite dish that I have ordered there is the Manicotti.  What is not to like about manicotti?  Their manicotti is filled with spinach and ricotta, and topped with marinara and baked topped with mozzarella cheese.  Plus, the marinara is great for dipping your Italian bread in!  If you like a spicier pasta dish, my friend and next door neighboor would recommend the Cajun Shrimp Pasta. It is fettuccine noodles, served with a garlic butter sauce, and topped with very spicy shrimp.  I tried it and it was good just, a little too spicy for me!

They of course have something for everyone, including a variety of specialty pizzas and some comfort food specials depending on the time of year, like a Chicken and Broccoli Casserole.  They also have a pretty extensive wine menu. What would an Italian restaurant be without a little vino? They are open Thursday through Monday, and even will deliver to the boat docks in Langley. Give them a try if you’re up in northeast Oklahoma!

Hello everyone! My name is Rosie, and I am a self proclaimed pasta-fanatic. I hope you enjoy reading about everything I like. That's what it's all about...life, liberty, the pursuit of pasta, and everything in between.
